rs.ge in English: what is translated, what is not, and how to file without knowing Georgian
By Mark Frost, founder and developer of MyIncome.ge · Updated September 5, 2026
There is no full English version of the Georgian taxpayer cabinet. The public site rs.ge has an English section and the login page of eservices.rs.ge offers an ENGLISH VERSION link, but the declaration forms, menus and messages inside the cabinet are largely Georgian, and there is no Russian version at all. In practice foreigners file the monthly small business declaration with browser translation plus a short list of Georgian terms, or through an authorized accountant. This guide explains what is translated, what is not, how far browser translation gets you, and the words you will meet on the way to the form.
What is in English
- rs.ge, the public site. News, general information about taxes, contacts, some legislation summaries. The language switch is in the header. This is where the English page about e-services lives.
- The login page of eservices.rs.ge. An ENGLISH VERSION link at the top translates the login form and the SMS step. How to get access and pass the code is in the rs.ge login guide.
- Parts of the cabinet. Some screens carry English labels; the coverage is uneven and changes with updates. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.
What stays in Georgian
Declaration forms, the lists of declaration types, dropdown values, error messages, notifications from the Revenue Service and the personal account card with your balance. Official letters arrive in Georgian. This is why a working routine needs either translation or a person who reads Georgian.
Working with browser translation
Chrome, Edge and Safari translate the page in place; Firefox needs an extension. Rules that save mistakes:
- Translate to read, switch back to type. Enter numbers and dates only with translation off: translated pages sometimes swap decimal separators or shift labels relative to fields.
- Learn the abbreviations. დღგ is VAT, ს/პ ნომერი is the personal or identification number, ი/მ is an individual entrepreneur. Translators tend to leave them or render them oddly.
- Dropdown codes do not translate. Declaration types and periods appear as Georgian names, sometimes with codes. Match them against the glossary rather than guessing.
- PDFs are not translated. A declaration downloaded as PDF stays Georgian; read the on-screen version instead.
- Check the month twice. The single most common filing error for foreigners is the wrong reporting period, and translation does not help with it.
The path to the small business declaration, in Georgian
The exact labels change with portal updates, but the words stay the same. On the way to the monthly form you will meet:
| Georgian | English | Where |
|---|---|---|
| დეკლარაციები | Declarations | main menu |
| ყოველთვიური | Monthly | declaration type |
| მცირე ბიზნესის სტატუსის მქონე პირის დეკლარაცია | Declaration of a person with small business status | declaration type |
| საანგარიშო პერიოდი | Reporting period | form header |
| დასაბეგრი ბრუნვა | Taxable turnover | the field you fill in |
| გადასახადი | Tax | calculated by the system |
| შენახვა | Save | button |
| გაგზავნა | Submit / send | button |
| გაგზავნილი დეკლარაციები | Submitted declarations | list to verify acceptance |
How the numbers are prepared is in the filing guide: the form needs the month's turnover in lari, with each foreign-currency payment converted at the NBG rate for the day it arrived. MyIncome.ge converts every payment at the NBG rate for its arrival date and adds up the month's turnover and 1% tax, so the only thing left to find in Georgian is the field; signing up is free.
Paying and checking the balance
After the declaration, the tax is paid by the 15th: from a Georgian bank account to the treasury details shown in the cabinet, or by card on the portal. The balance is on the personal account card (პირადი აღრიცხვის ბარათი): დავალიანება is a debt, ზედმეტად გადახდილი თანხა an overpayment. A zero balance a day or two after paying means the month is closed.
If you made a mistake
A wrong number is corrected with an adjusted declaration (დაზუსტებული დეკლარაცია) for the same period; the tax is recalculated and any underpayment accrues interest at 0.05% a day until paid. A wrong period is corrected the same way: adjust the wrong month to zero and file the right one. Do not leave it for the next month.
Other ways around the language
- An authorized accountant. Added in the cabinet by personal number with filing-only rights, without sharing your password. Typical for the first months.
- A service centre. Revenue Service centres handle access, phone changes and questions in person; bring your passport.
- The information centre, 2 299 299 (from abroad +995 32 2 299 299).
Disclaimer: this material is general information, not tax advice. The rs.ge interface changes; verify current steps on rs.ge or with a qualified accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official English version of rs.ge?
Partly. The public site rs.ge has an English section, and the login page of the taxpayer cabinet has an ENGLISH VERSION link. The cabinet itself, where declarations are filed, stays largely in Georgian.
Is there a Russian version?
No. Neither rs.ge nor eservices.rs.ge has a Russian interface. Browser translation into Russian works the same way as into English, and the glossary gives the Georgian terms with translations.
Does Google Translate work inside the cabinet?
For menus, headings and most labels, yes: turn on page translation in the browser. It is unreliable for abbreviations, codes in dropdown lists, error messages quoting Tax Code articles and PDF forms, which it does not translate at all. Never type into a field while the page is translated: switch back to the original before entering numbers.
Which parts are in English?
The public rs.ge site (news, legislation summaries, contacts) and the login page. Inside the cabinet the coverage is uneven and changes with updates; treat English labels as a bonus, not something to rely on.
I filed a wrong number because I misread a field. Can it be fixed?
Yes. A declaration can be corrected by filing an adjusted declaration for the same period (Georgian: დაზუსტებული დეკლარაცია); the tax is recalculated. Do it as soon as you notice: interest on underpaid tax runs at 0.05% a day.
Can I just give the filing to an accountant?
Yes, without sharing your password: add the accountant as an authorized person in the cabinet with filing-only rights. Many freelancers do this for the first months and take over once they know the path; the filing guide shows how short it is.
